Gainesville Police arrested a local man Tuesday after he reportedly asked two women for oral sex in a library bathroom and tried to trap one inside.
Justin Tyler Harris, 24, stood in the doorway of the women’s bathroom at the Alachua County Library District Headquarters branch shortly after 5 p.m. The woman inside saw Harris and shouted, “Excuse me” before Harris backed away, according to a report. Seconds later, he opened the door again and asked the woman, “Are you married?”
The woman told Harris she had a boyfriend, and he backed out of the bathroom again.
A few seconds after that, Harris came in the bathroom for a third time and asked the woman, “Want to give me some head right now?” The woman told him no and tried to walk out of the door. Harris then blocked her and said, “Yes … I think you do,” according to a report.
The woman managed to fight off Harris with her umbrella before walking out and telling library staff.
As the woman was talking with employees, Harris walked into the bathroom for the fourth time.
“Rachel?” he asked outside of the second woman’s stall. “Do you want to give me head?”
“I’m gay,” the woman yelled back, according to a report. She also managed to get out of the bathroom and tell library staff.
Police found and arrested Harris at 6:30 p.m. on charges of kidnapping. As of press time, he remained at the Alachua County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
