Calling all Meghan Trainor fans and “silicone Barbies.”
The first-time Grammy nominee is surely making a name for herself in the music industry, with a sassy new album to follow. The young artist’s debut album “Title” was released earlier this month, which includes everyone’s favorite, “All About That Bass”.
In “All About That Bass,” Trainor tells everyone to accept her as she is or to hit the curb. I think this is a fair message to all you guys lusting over the unrealistic expectations of girls looking like the next cover of Cosmopolitan or Sports Illustrated, so let’s be real. The song is a great message for women to embrace their beauty, size, and of course, their booty.
Honestly, before picking up Trainor’s album, “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Movin’” were the only songs I was familiar with. But after listening to her album, I can say it’s worth listening to more than just her hit songs.
All of Trainor’s songs are very honest and send out a message about what most girls face — love, insecurity, memorable experiences and the walk of shame.
Pick up “Title” in stores or download it on iTunes.
