Mike Holloway looks on during the Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1, 2013, at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.

The top-ranked Florida men’s and women’s track and field teams head to Lexington, Kentucky, today to compete in the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational, which is hosted by the University of Kentucky.

In addition, the Gators will duel with Kentucky and Miami at Nutter Fieldhouse.

While the first meet of the season included only the hurdlers and sprinters, coach Mike Holloway is expanding the lineup for this weekend.

The Gators will compete in 26 of the 32 individual events and in all four relays.

Nine Gators will be competing in multiple individual events, including senior jumper Ciarra Brewer, who was an All-American and the Southeastern Conference champion in the triple jump in 2014.

Brewer also holds the record for the McCravy Memorial Invitational in the triple jump, which she set in 2014.

Florida will be looking to defend its 2014 meet title in the men’s 4x400 meter relay. The Gators also hold the Nutter Fieldhouse record in the 4x4, which was set in 2009.

Senior jumper Marquis Dendy will make his first appearance of the season, participating in the long jump and triple jump events.

Dendy, along with senior sprinter Dedric Dukes, was named to The Bowerman Trophy Men’s Preseason Watch List on Jan. 7.
