Halloween can fall into two categories for girls: scary or slutty.
You may be content wearing bunny ears and lingerie this year, but there is an easy, inexpensive makeup trick to help those of us who want to look like an extra from "The Walking Dead."
Using toilet paper and glue is a surprisingly easy and quick way to create wounds on your face. Apply a small amount of eyelash glue onto the area you want to be "wounded" (cheeks and forehead work best!). Then stick a square of toilet paper over the glue.
The messier you are, the better because the wound isn’t supposed to look perfect. I find this trick works best if you create multiple layers of the glue and toilet paper. Tear and dab the paper to make the wound look realistic.
Once the paper has stuck, it’s time to get bloody. Disguise the paper by applying dark eyeshadow around the edges. Again, you should do this in a messy way because this is designed to make the wound look old and infected. Black, gray and red shades all work well for this. You can apply the eyeshadow to the center of the wound to hide the white shade of the toilet paper.
Lastly, cover the wound with plenty of fake blood. If it still doesn’t look right, keep applying the dark eyeshadow to blend the wound with the rest of your skin.
Once you're finished, you should have something resembling what I've done in the photo. Now get ready for horrified looks from your friends as they ask, “What happened?!”
