Florida’s 2015 recruiting class picked up its 10th verbal commitment as four-star linebacker Adonis Thomas (6-foot-3, 219 pounds, Lawrenceville, Ga., Central Gwinnett High) announced his commitment to UF. Thomas, the No. 16 ranked outside linebacker in the country, chose Florida over Alabama. He had offers from Georgia, LSU and Notre Dame as well.
Thomas is the first linebacker to the 2015 class, and that’s good news for UF as it will lose its two linebackers— Neiron Ball and Michael Taylor— following the season to graduation.
This is the second good recruiting news for the 2015 class, as UF added offensive lineman Michael Horton (6-foot-4, 320 pounds, Atlanta, Ga., Lakeside High) to the commitment list on Thursday. Horton joins offensive linemen Tyler Jordan (6-foot-5, 270 pounds, Jacksonville, Fla., Bishop Kenny High) and George Brown (6-foot-6, 264 pounds, Cincinnati, Ohio, Winton Woods High) who committed last week.
