After falling to Ohio State on Friday, No. 12 Florida came up big on Day 2 of the 2014 ITA Division I National Men's Team Indoor Championship as it upset No. 4 Georgia in a 4-2 victory.

“As a whole, it was a team win,” coach Bryan Shelton said. “Any time you win a match and rely on more than one guy, it’s a great win.”

Sophomore Gordon Watson brought Friday's momentum into the match as he clinched the match for the Gators (4-3) with his singles victory against UGA’s (3-4) No. 109 Nick Wood.

"Gordon really played well to finish it for us," Shelton said. "He had to deal with some pressure there. It’s not easy to close out a good team and he held his nerves together and played aggressively. It was good to see him to play to win."

Florida (4-3) will play its last match of the tournament Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

“Our guys want to finish this thing out and be 2-1 when we leave here,” Shelton said. “We’re going to get after it tomorrow."
