Waldo Police arrested a Gainesville woman Saturday after police said she hid crack cocaine in her panties at a traffic stop.

Officers arrested 27-year-old Tracy Lynn Irvin on charges of possession and intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to the report.

At about 4:45 p.m., an officer saw a car run a stop signal then speed four miles over the speed limit on Northeast U.S. Highway 301, according to the report.

The officer pulled over the car, driven by Irvin. He saw what he identified as crack cocaine on the driver’s seat and some sticking to the front of Irvin’s jeans. During questioning, Irvin told the officer she hid the drug in her underwear when she realized she was being pulled over.

Irvin told officers she was doing someone a favor by delivering it, according to the report.Officers booked Irvin into the Alachua County Jail at about 6 p.m., where she remained as of press time.
