UF’s Interfraternity Council launched its new website last week with hope that its upgraded interface and new features will help strengthen UF’s Greek community.

Features include a blog, a biweekly newsletter, promotional info and news.

Thomas Echezabal, an 18-year-old UF computer science freshman and brother of Chi Phi, said he designed the site. He said it boasts a new design to reflect IFC’s professionalism and pride.

“I’m most proud of the news section of the website,” Echezabal said. “It’s about having the Greek community connected as one, keeping everyone updated.”

IFC also plans to provide web design services to all UF IFC fraternities.

“Basically, fraternities can get a good deal if they need a new website or advertising help,” he said.

But Shawn May, a 21-year-old UF industrial and systems engineering junior and brother of Zeta Beta Tau, said he would prefer individualized newsletters.
