Study Edge just passed its makeup exam.
Launched Wednesday, Study Edge 2.0 is the first update to the tutoring center’s app, which is available for Facebook, iPhone and Android.
Study Edge president and co-founder Ethan Fieldman said the developers took student requests into consideration.
“The reason we took so long is because we wanted to get it right and put in what students were asking for,” he said.
The new app now allows students to take a photo of their work from any smartphone and post it on their class’ wall.
For the redesign process, Fieldman said about 30 students gave feedback on how to make the app a more functional learning tool.
“So far, there haven’t been any negative comments at all,” he said.
Anne Grundhoefer, director of marketing and public relations for Study Edge, said the change was much needed.
In honor of the launch, Study Edge is providing a 10 percent discount for new members with the promo code CHOMP.
With the discount, the reduced cost of services is $22.50 a month.
“We’re hoping it’s enough to get people to do the right thing for their grades,” Fieldman said.
