YOLO, dude: BroBible ranks UF as No. 2 Best Party School

BroBible, founded in 2009 as an online destination for everything “bro,” recently ranked UF as No. 2 on its “50 Best Party Schools in the U.S.” list.

West Virginia University ranked No. 1.

Although some might worry that reviews such as this give the university a bad reputation, UF student Elizabeth Udell doesn’t think so.

“It balances it out in the public eye that we get things done but aren’t completely boring,” said the 22-year-old public relations senior and member of Kappa Delta sorority.

Tara Vozzola, a 20-year-old public relations junior, said it will make UF more appealing to prospective students.

“By being ranked the No. 2 party school, it shows that UF students are outgoing,” Vozzola said. “And it will not be hard to fit in and make new friends if you decide to come to school here.”

On its website, BroBible claims that other party school rankings are flawed because they never provide clear-cut criteria for how they rank the schools.

To fix this, BroBible created what it calls the BroBible Party School Index, which focuses on the reputations of the colleges over the last 10 years.

The formula involves giving weight to colleges based on past ratings, sports and the editor’s opinions, according to the BroBible website.

Greg Liuzzo, a 21-year-old architecture junior and member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, said this ranking makes him proud to go to UF.

“If UF isn’t the No. 2 best party school in America, it should be No. 1,” he said.
