Blue trees will be gone soon

I saw your article regarding the blue trees on the UF campus. The purpose of painting the trees blue is to bring attention to deforestation. However, the blue trees near the Reitz Union will be destroyed when the expansion of the Reitz begins. How ironic! Well then, there is the issue of the trees being destroyed near the corner of University Avenue and Southwest 13th Street to make way for the expanded business school. Maybe the UF Foundation needs to pick a better way to spend $22,000 that only brings attention to the university’s lack of concern for trees.
