Let us all take a moment of silence for Amanda Bynes.
She’s not dead, but her career sure is. The one-time Nickelodeon child star recently tweeted out pictures of her new look: cheek piercings, gaudy jewelry and hair faker than you'd find on “Jersey Shore.”
Is her new look a skit for her off-the-air “Amanda Show,” or is this her serious fashion choice?
At age 26, Bynes looks to have completely given up on her look, her career and on obeying the law.
With a hit-and-run, two counts of driving without a license and a DUI, Bynes, the once “Judge Trudy,” seems to be a frequent visitor to the other side of the courtroom.
What happened to the innocent Bynes we had on “All That” and “The Amanda Show?” Or, more recently, from “Easy A”?
She has become one of the many childhood star downfall highlights.
Sadly, Bynes looks like she has jumped on the same train as Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lynn Spears.
The obsession with childhood stars to rebels leaves a hurricane-sized mess to clean up once the storm blows over — if it blows over.
The lifestyles of the rich and famous childhood stars are tearing them apart.
Look at Lohan, and look at Bynes.
Now, whenever I see “All That,” “The Amanda Show” or “Easy A,” I'm going to shed a silent tear for the death of the innocent girl that Bynes once was.
Because, if Lohan is any example, Bynes won’t come back from the dark side — and I'm not talking about her fake tan.
