Scouts’ honor?

Dear Kaitlyn McGowan,

I read your article on gender inequality in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. I couldn’t agree more. The fact that girls and boys have different badges and different requirements enforces the social construct of, “Boys should do this, and girls should do that.” I absolutely hate when people say gender equality is important but then get offended when you challenge a construct such as the Boy and Girl Scouts and how they are obviously not equal. I think if more people participated in feminist activity for the equal rights of males and females, this country may actually signify what it is supposed to one day.
