Florida snagged several of the Southeastern Conference’s top individual honors on Tuesday.
Coach Billy Donovan was named SEC Coach of the Year for the second time in his career after leading Florida to its fifth SEC title. Donovan previously earned the award during the 2010-2011 season.
Senior forward Erik Murphy was one of eight players named to the All-SEC First Team. He averaged 12.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and shot 46.6 percent from three-point range this season.
Junior center Patric Young was one of three Gators named to the All-SEC Second Team. He also cracked the SEC All-Defensive Team.
Senior guards Kenny Boynton and Mike Rosario were also named to the All-SEC Second Team. Junior guard Scottie Wilbekin joined Young on the All-SEC Defensive Team.
Guard Michael Frazier II was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Florida will play the winner of the first-round matchup between No. 8 seed Georgia and ninth-seeded LSU on Thursday in Nashville at 1 p.m. on the SEC Network.
