We had a great time talking with you on Turlington Plaza and across campus these past two weeks.
It was wonderful to be able to meet you and discuss the issues that are important to us at the University of Florida.
Thank you for letting us interrupt your day as you walked to class or headed home.
Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. Your enthusiasm will drive us to be even more passionate about making this university a better place.
Thank you for offering us your support and encouragement. It meant the world to us.
And thank you for voting.
We ask you to continue to educate yourself on the issues. Attend Senate meetings. Visit the Student Government website. Read newspaper articles.
And we congratulate every candidate for having the courage to run for public office at this university. You are a testament to the spirit of the Gator Nation.
We also offer special congratulations to Christina Bonarrigo, Joselyn Rivas, Jayce Victor and the 50 new senators. We wish them the best this year as they serve the Student Body.
Our work wasn’t done when the polls closed Wednesday night. Our work is just beginning.
Throughout the coming year, our senators will propose legislation to make this university a better place for UF students.
We will keep fighting for you every day because our work won’t be done until every student has a voice in UF SG.
