The buzz is true: Two new craft beer pubs are set to open in the next month.
World of Beer and The Brass Tap will join the growing beer community in Gainesville sometime in January or February, bringing back a focus on import and craft beers with few distractions.
There won’t be any liquor behind the bar. No appetizers or flatbreads passed around tables. Both pubs would rather bring in beer connoisseurs and curious tasters looking for a new favorite brew. The old-school dedication to sharing great-tasting beer has allowed both chains to develop loyal followings at locations across the state, a trend the new franchises hope to continue here.
World of Beer will open in the Tioga Town Center, with outdoor seating and a rotating live entertainment schedule. Patrons have their choice of 500 bottles and 40 draft selections of import and craft beers to enjoy in the upscale pub setting. A small selection of wine is also available.
The Brass Tap will be located in the former Sprint storefront at 3833 Archer Rd. The pub will offer between 40 and 60 beers on draft and more than 300 bottles of import and craft beers. Wine and cigars will also be available.
Regulars don’t have to worry about drinking the same beer twice; both pubs rotate their selection of beers to stay in tune with seasonal preferences and styles. Average prices at both locations will be between $3 and $6, though hard-to-find bottles can ring in around $300 if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind taste experience. For those who want a bite along with their pint, both chains allow delivery from nearby restaurants.
