With one of the biggest SEC matchups thus far, police managed thousands of Tigers and Gators fans as they packed Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday for the UF-Louisiana State University football game.

This week’s game saw a spike in ejection and arrest numbers compared to the previous two home games this season.

On Saturday, police ejected 108 people from the game, 38 of whom were UF students, according to a UPD news release.

Police kicked out 27 people for alcohol possession and 21 others for public intoxication. Of the 27 people ejected for alcohol possession, 25 received civil citations.

Officers also ejected two people from the stadium for possession of marijuana and issued a sworn complaint for someone who brought a concealed firearm into the stadium.

Police arrested six people during the game, one of them a UF student. Out of the six arrests, four were for trespassing, one for domestic battery and another for resisting arrest, according to the release.

The next home game will be on Oct. 20.
