As the fall season moves in, along with it come many new and chic beauty trends to try out. These trends that are introduced on the high fashion runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, find their way to the streets in more everyday wearable form.
The top five fall beauty trends that can easily be incorporated into your beauty routine this season are: mulberry lip color, winged liner, thicker and more defined eyebrows, earth tone eye shadows, and last but not least, multi-chromatic eye shadows.
Although runway beauty and fashion tend to be exaggerated, these looks are highly adaptable to fit within the comfort zone of every individual’s unique style.
The mulberry lipstick trend was featured in the Rochas Paris runway show during Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week. The trend consists of any deep red or berry toned lipstick color. Since skin tones vary from person to person, customizing the lip color to your skin tone allows for more freedom to get creative and really personalize this trend.
For many of us, eyeliner is already a part of our daily makeup regimen, but kicking it up a notch and winging out the liner is a little more dramatic and in style for the season. The exaggerated version of the winged liner was highlighted in the Lanvin Pairs goes a step further than basic liner in accentuating the shape of the eye and creating the illusion of a more elongated eye.
Also trending this fall within the beauty realm is thicker and more defined eyebrows. Eyebrows are one of the more easily manipulated features on the face that can alter your appearance. Sporting a thicker brow tends to enhance the face making facial features seem darker and more romantic. If your eyebrows are not naturally full, you can achieve the thicker brow by lightly shading in your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil or eye shadow that matches your hair color. The defined brow trend has been popular among many designers for the fall but one in particular is J. Mendel Paris, who included this trend as part of the makeup look for his Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week runway show.
Sometimes eye shadow doesn’t quite make it into our daily makeup routine. But when you feel like trying something new and have a little extra time, earth tone and multi-chromatic eye shadow shades are currently trending for this season. Earth tone eye shadows encompass a variety of colors from the neutral color palette that are reminiscent of the Earth. This includes colors such as: brown, beige, green, tan, red and yellow. But on the other end of the spectrum, multi-chromatic eye shadows are shimmery, metallic and multicolored. Hues that may appear as a certain color from one angle might look like another color from different angles and that is the beauty of the eye shadow. These metallic shadows are glamorous, versatile and well suited for a night out with friends. Jason Wu and Blumarine are two for the many designers to premier these trends for the season on the runways of New York Fashion Week.
