The Hermanator is coming to UF.
Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain will speak at 6 p.m. in Emerson Alumni Hall as part of the national Truth Tour sponsored by Job Creators Solutions.
“The main thing we’re trying to do here is get the word out about the importance of being an educated voter,” said Job Creators Solutions’ logistics assistant Jordan Hansen. “He wants to see this country go in a positive direction, and the idea was, this is the next generation.”
But some UF students aren’t too crazy about Cain coming to town.
“He’s fallen by the wayside,” said 18-year-old aeronautical and aerospace engineering freshman Charlie Zumbahlen. “He’s not really prominent in today’s politics. You don’t really hear of him anymore.”
Public relations freshman Lawrence Grimm, 18, said he will probably attend the event, but just because Cain is nationally known.
But 22-year-old finance senior Trent Smyers is excited to hear Cain speak.
“He’s good because he currently brings debate, which is a good thing,” Smyers said.
