Hi, friends. My name is Erin Jester, and I’m your editor this semester. This will be my fifth Fall semester in Gainesville, and after I graduate in December, I plan to continue working in newspapers. I don’t have much free time anymore — being an editor is a full-time job — but when I do, I enjoy going to ska shows and the beach, reading mid-20th century British and American literature, singing along with old Joni Mitchell records, rolling around the living room floor with my dog and cats and practicing modern dance. If you have an idea or complaint, or you just want to chat, shoot me an email at ejester@alligator.org. I’d love to hear from you.

Hey, all! I’m Sarah Kinonen, your managing editor for the Fall semester. I’ve worked for the Alligator for about a year now as a copy editor and then as the copy desk chief. A little bit about myself: I am a hard-core feminist who loves cats. I also enjoy exercising, reading Jezebel on a daily basis, trying new local restaurants and drinking Karma Cream lattes. When I graduate, I’d love to work for a publication that caters to all (or most) of these interests. Until then, I’m finishing up my final year at UF as a journalism major. If you’d like to chat, complain or pitch a story, feel free to give me a shout at skinonen@alligator.org.

Hey, Gators! I’m Sami Main, a UF journalism senior and your current opinions editor. I’ve worked at the Alligator for a year. You might have read some of my columns this Summer or last Fall semester! This past spring, I was the editor of the Avenue. I’m the hilarious president of Theatre Strike Force, UF’s premier improv and sketch comedy group. Talk to me about cute cats or the Internet, and you’ll have an instant best friend. Although I’m not totally sure, if someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I’d say taller. If you have an opinion about anything, I’m the broad to talk to.

Hey, everyone, I’m Greg Luca, and I’ll be your sports editor this semester. I’ve been working at the Alligator since the first week of my freshman year, in Fall 2009, and plan to be here until I graduate in the spring. I’ve covered tennis, softball, volleyball, basketball and football, plus a stint in Baltimore over the summer covering the Orioles for MLB.com. When I’m not writing about sports, I enjoy watching them — specifically my beloved Miami Dolphins and New Jersey Devils. I also enjoy exercising, playing FIFA or Madden on PS3 and rocking out on my guitar. If you love our coverage, hate our coverage or just have a sports rant in you, shoot an email to gluca@alligator.org.
