Anthony Anderson went to his ex-girlfriend’s house Saturday morning to pick up some of his old stuff. She greeted him with an aluminum bat.

Gainesville Police arrested Brittany N. Leisure, 23, of 8210 SW 95th Lane, at about 11:30 a.m. on charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief after she smashed two windows of Anderson’s car. Leisure, who could not be reached for comment because she provided fake phone numbers to the arresting officer, caused about $500 worth of damage, according to police.

Leisure and Anderson dated for nine months, but the two broke up in December. On Saturday, she called and asked him to collect some things he left at her place.

Leisure said she wanted to talk. Anderson didn’t. He just wanted to pick up his stuff and leave, he said.

Upset, Leisure ran to Anderson’s car. She cocked the bat and swung away, cracking the front right corner of the windshield, according to police.

Anderson ran back to his car, hopped in and drove away. According to police, Leisure took one last hack, shattering the car’s rear window.
