UF students are all about keeping it casual, according to recent rankings.
Ten schools were ranked as "The 10 Most DTF Campuses" on Tuesday, according to information from CollegeMagazine.com. Huffington Post's College page posted the list as well.
University of Florida was ranked No.5, but it was University of Texas that topped the list.
Nineteen-year-old political science freshman Natalie Martinez said UF's rating didn't surprise her.
"On any given Friday night, plenty of girls are looking to get with guys, and the boys are more than happy to oblige," she said.
CollegeMagazine.com researched party scenes, hookup culture and sexual health resources to determine the rankings, according to the website.
"We're consistently one of the top drinking and partying schools, so you would think that we would have a lot of hookups," said 18-year-old economics freshman Samuel Richards.
UT Austin was followed by Arizona State University; the University of California, Santa Barbara; and Florida State University, which was ranked No. 4.
UF is ranked No. 8 in the Trojan Sexual Health Report Card, according to an Oct. 25 Alligator article. Amazon ranked Gainesville as the ninth most romantic city, according to an Alligator article from Feb. 10,2011.
"Come over tonight and we can discuss the topic in depth," joked eighteen-year-old material science freshman Peishi Cheng.
