Alligator staff evaluated last semester's platforms from the Students Party and the Unite Party.

Alligator staff evaluated last semester's platforms from the Students Party and the Unite Party. Both participated in the Fall 2011 elections, which were held in September. Platforms are intended to be yearlong efforts, according to Students Party assistant leader and Sen. Carly Wilson and Unite Party spokeswoman and Sen. Christina Bonarrigo.

Three Students Party senators and 46 Unite Party senators were elected, and one independent senator won a seat. The executive offices — Student Body president, vice president and treasurer — are only voted on in the spring elections.
