There's a lot going on inside the creative minds of trolls and bored college students everywhere, so this week we're summarizing all the good stuff (and annoying stuff) of the Web.

Student Government Elections memes

The shit storm has begun. Here at UF, memes attacking both political parties are overcrowding group pages on Facebook. Since they're timely, they're pretty funny, although I think everyone can agree that we'd prefer to get back to the ones that parody everyday life.

Among my personal favorites:

The Most Interesting Man in the World Avoids Flyers

What I Think I Do memes

There's a new version of meme out on the webs. We don't know what to call them, but they go along the lines of "What I think my friends think I do, what my parents think I do, what I think I do, what I actually do," with a corresponding stock photo for illustration. You know what we're talking about.

These vary, depending on who is spamming your Facebook news feed. Some are for certain occupations, like journalists, meteorologists, etc. Others are for different schools and universities (check out the UF meme here) or for different cliques or groups of people. Some are even for particular cities. They give a hearty chuckle at first, but after a while they all start looking the same. Unless you've seen the Bill Cosby one. That one doesn't get old.

The Lion King's You Must Never Go There memes

OK, these are my favorites for the week. They're absolutely brilliant and bring just the right amount of stinging truth. Taken from the beloved Disney classic, the meme is composed of three still images of Mufasa's talk with Simba, saying that everything the light touches is the good land. But when Simba asks about the shadowy place, Mufasa responds with "You must never go there." These are really great and versatile, and you can find one for almost any state or city. Check out UF's here: one for Club Decadence in downtown Gainesville, the other, naturally, trolling FSU.
