An elderly woman was seriously injured in a residential fire Thursday night.
The first call came in at 6:12 p.m. for a fire on 3818 NE 12th St., said District Chief Richard Saulsberry.
The woman was taken to Shands Southtower for second- and third-degree burns that cover about 90 percent of her body.
Five adults and two children live in the residence, and everyone is accounted for, Saulsberry said.
