On behalf of Florida Blue Key, allow me to share my heartfelt appreciation to our extended Gator family for continuing to turn out and support Gator Growl. We hope you enjoyed Friday's show that so many students worked tirelessly during the last year to produce. Gator Growl is an incredible and unique UF tradition.
No other school in the country has a pep rally of this magnitude and stature, much less one run by students. During the last 80 years, Gator Growl has transformed from a simple pep rally to the elaborate production it is today. Our goal has always been, and always will be, to unite our fans, alumni and students in support of our athletic teams and university.
This year we moved the stage location to the east stands to bring the stage closer to the audience, provide a more comfortable setting and allow us to launch fireworks for the first time in several years.
Unfortunately, we failed to foresee some problems with the seating arrangements required to accommodate the stage's new location. Ultimately, we had too few ushers to assist people in locating their assigned seats. Please let me apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
We are addressing these issues to ensure that future Gator Growls do not face similar problems. Planning for next year's show is already underway and we look forward to improving the show by learning more from your experience.
Please email us at suggestions@gatorgrowl.org and let us know what you liked and what you didn't like.
Thank you for your support in making Gator Growl the nation's largest student-run pep rally, and we look forward to hosting you again in the future.
