Members of the Students Party recommended the recent Student Senate elections be redone after receiving an investigation report.
The UF Supreme Court Justices ordered an investigation by the Election Commission after the justices heard an appeals hearing regarding the procedures for the fall elections cycle. Elections were held Sept. 27 and 28.
The Election Commission heard the Students Party complaint about the validity of the results before the Supreme Court did.
The Commissioners recommended the Student Senate validate the election results.
After the Supreme Court assigned the investigation to the Commission, the Justices approved a list of questions to be answered.
When Students Party member Jonathan Ossip read the Commission's report, he thought the questions weren't answered directly.
"It was so filled with the excuses of the elections staff, it didn't really even get to the core questions we were asking," he said.
He said SG should admit there was a problem, move on and hold fair elections.
Supreme Justice Matt Michel said that at tonight's meeting, the court will review an Election Commission presentation, ask questions, hear the arguments from both sides, ask any remaining questions and then make a decision.
The meeting time and location were not available at press time.
