Hosts Ron "Gator Ron" Brooks and Audrey Lynn will no longer be a part of UF's radio station, Country 103.7 The Gator.

Brooks and Lynn had their last day on the job with the UF-owned radio station July 14.

Brooks started working with WRUF last fall as the programming director. He helped the station transition from the rock format of Rock 104 to country.

He also hosted the Afternoon Drive Show, which runs weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., as Gator Ron.

Jerry "JJ Thomas" Butler replaced Brooks in both positions, as programming director and host of the afternoon show.

Lynn worked as a co-host on the Gator Morning Show with Alex "Big Stew" Sawyers, who now hosts the program on his own.

UF spokeswoman Janine Sikes said Brooks and Lynn only had temporary positions that would not be continued in the future.

"We wish Ron and Audrey the best in their endeavors," Sikes said.

Brooks declined to comment to the Alligator when asked about reasons for his termination.
