John Lennon's aspirations as an activist and musician will always be recognized and appreciated by Beatles lovers everywhere.

To further demonstrate admiration for Lennon's work, Brian Rothschild and David Sonenberg have created a nonprofit organization called the John Lennon Educational Tour bus.

The Lennon bus travels across the nation visiting public schools and colleges. A team works with students to produce new music, shoot videos and create various digital media projects.

With 14 years of experience behind it, the Lennon bus is equipped with the latest recording technology and encourages the youth of America to embrace songwriting and media production.

The Lennon bus is quite literally a recording studio on wheels and can act as one large studio or three separate recording booths. This year, the bus has driven across the nation attempting to inspire young people with the power of music. Many young adults have recorded original music on the bus.

"This is precisely the kind of project that John Lennon would have loved," Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono Lennon, has said of the tour bus.

The tour bus is currently traveling around the country alongside the 2011 Vans Warped Tour. Fans who engage with the project have been given opportunities to cut the line to get into Warped Tour venues, as well as win prizes such as VIP tickets.

The brainchild of Rothschild, an executive director, and Sonenberg, a music manager, the John Lennon Educational Tour bus is a project that fits in conveniently well with Warped Tour. The tour is an iconic traveling music festival, now in its 17th year. Partnering with Warped is an opportunity for a demographic of young people to learn about the bus that might not have been aware of it otherwise.

"Throughout the bus there are many items that link us to John Lennon, his life and legacy," said Kevin Hoy, on-board producer of the Lennon bus.

One of the items is a scaled-down version of the Imagine Peace tower donated by Yoko Ono, which is a tower in Iceland that is lit every year commemorating Lennon's legacy.

The Lennon bus will be stopping in Orlando on July 29, West Palm Beach on July 30 and St. Petersburg on July 31.
