Tired of the Unite Party and Progress Party handing you fliers, following you between classes and trying to get you to wear a sticker?
Go vote, and you’ll get the magic hall pass that reads: “I voted.”
The polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday so students can vote for the next Student Body president and college senators who run Student Government.
Supervisor of Elections Amanda Griffin said freshmen, sophomores and students with fewer than 60 credit hours can vote at Norman Hall, the first floor of Turlington, the Reitz Union, Springs Complex or Broward Hall.
Students with more than 60 credits should vote at their colleges.
To vote, students need a photo I.D., which could be a Gator 1 Card, driver’s license or passport.
Griffin said candidates, party supporters and volunteers can wear party T-shirts to the polls but can’t campaign within a certain distance of the booths as outlined in the SG election codes.
