Four-star cornerback Marcus Roberson made his college decision. And this time, he’s sticking with it.

Roberson, the nation’s No. 2 cornerback, according to Rivals.com, signed his letter of intent to play at UF on Wednesday morning.

It was Roberson’s third team in as many weeks.

On Jan. 18, the Ft. Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas star orally committed to Texas Tech, where his uncle is an assistant cornerbacks coach. That commitment didn’t last long, as Roberson reopened his recruitment Friday and committed to Auburn on Monday.

Roberson decommitted early Tuesday morning before officially signing with Florida on National Signing Day.

“We were excited to get him,” Florida coach Will Muschamp said. “He’s a bigger corner with length.”

Roberson becomes the marquee name in the Gators’ six-man 2011 secondary class, which also includes four-star safety Jabari Gorman, four-star cornerback Louchiez Purifoy and three-star cornerbacks Valdez Showers and Chris Johnson, all of whom signed their letters of intent Wednesday.

De’Ante Saunders, an early enrollee, is the other defensive back in the Gators’ recruiting class.

Grant chooses Buckeyes: Florida was in the running for one of the top uncommitted five-star recruits in the nation: Richmond (Va.) Hermitage High linebacker Curtis Grant.

Grant listed Florida as one of his final choices but opted to sign his letter of intent with Ohio State on Wednesday.

“I pulled the trigger with the Buckeyes because that’s the program I felt the most love from,” Grant said during his nationally televised announcement.

Gators miss out on D-line depth: Two four-star defensive linemen passed on signing with UF on Wednesday. Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian Academy defensive end Jermauria Rasco decided to stay in-state and signed with LSU. Meanwhile, Miami Booker T. Washington High defensive tackle Elkino Watson shocked many by signing with South Florida after saying he was down to UF, Miami and Louisville.

Jordan signs: Ridgefield (Conn.) High three-star offensive lineman Tommy Jordan signed his letter of intent with UF. Jordan had planned to enroll early and was on campus in January but decided to return home for the semester while Muschamp filled out his coaching staff.

Unsigned prospects: Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer High quarterback Jacoby Brissett and junior college defensive tackle Johnathan Jenkins will wait until the weekend to decide where they will play next season. Brissett is expected to announce at his basketball game Friday and Jenkins will decide on Saturday.
