Funerals for Grant Lockenbach and Michael Pirie, two students who died in a rappelling accident Saturday, will be held this week.
Lockenbach’s funeral will be Friday at First Presbyterian Church in DeLand at 3 p.m. Friends and members of the community are welcome to attend.
Pirie’s funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lake Highland Middle School Bourne Chapel in Orlando. Friends and members of the community are welcome to attend.
A memorial fund for Lockenbach has been created. Donations may be made to:

The family will be making a donation to UF’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life of West Volusia.
