The pro-choice/pro-life dichotomy is truly silly. I have graduated from this school of thought into a much more sensible camp: pro-abortion. Abortion as birth control is a practice of the past; abortion as population control is what is needed for our society to function in the coming years.
Overpopulation is a problem that continues to grow exponentially worse.
Soon we will not have enough land for food growth to feed everyone in the world, a
problem which pro-abortion policies could deter. Forced abortions would of course have to be decided judiciously, the first targets obviously being those who oppose the policy.
From there, targets could be chosen based on genetic predisposition.
Some call this eugenics; I call this effective action for the future.
A modest proposal, I think, is to target those with a low IQ or possibly those who have more religious affinity than sensibility.
Maybe then, there will be fewer people rehashing their decades-old pro-life or pro-choice arguments to anything with an ear.
