No longer will dateless debutantes have to rely on their lying friends for an honest opinion on how hot their dates are.
No, thanks to the website Candobetter.com, you’ll never have to rely on that whole ridiculous inner beauty thing because now cyberspace will know for sure just how hot or not your date is.
Candobetter.com markets itself as a fusion between social networking and NewAge dating, which is really just a big, fancy euphemism for Facebook stalking for online dating fanatics.
The website allows those unsure of how attractive their dates really are to post a picture from their dates’ Facebook or other online profiles to the dating website for others to judge. Never mind the grossly superficial elements of the website’s very basic foundation, or the weirdest thing to happen to social media since Facebook started showing us “photo memories” of memories we don’t have.
And although we at the Editorial Board have had our questions about some of the people we’ve chosen to date, we didn’t rely on an extra-creepy website and strangers to tell us if we should or should not date someone based solely upon their attractiveness level.
But perhaps the most disturbing, or the most accurate, fact about the new website was from its creator, who said, “People on first dates are not looking for meaningful conversations.”
And in the biggest development in sexual selection since Darwin, Candobetter.com finally allows online daters the infinite capacity to judge.
We hope you’re better than this, Gators.
