UF's Black Student Union is hosting its Homecoming 2010 celebration, Rhapsody, this week.

Voting for homecoming contestants will take place today and Wednesday on Turlington Plaza from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. All students are encouraged to vote and must have their Gator 1 Card present.

On Friday, the union will be announcing the winners of the Homecoming contestants at the Homecoming Ball in the Reitz Union Rion Ballroom at 8 p.m. Cocktail attire is requested and refreshments and finger food will be provided.

The dance and all other BSU Homecoming Rhapsody events are free and open to the public.

"We want to stress that everyone is welcomed, not just members of the black community," said Asia Jones, BSU Homecoming director. She said they are expecting around 500 attendees at the dance and a diverse audience.
