A Gainesville man accused of a November kidnapping and burglary was sentenced to 40 years in prison at a Tuesday hearing.

Reynard Mosley, 20, was convicted of four counts of armed robbery and four counts of kidnapping, according to Spencer Mann, public information officer for the State Attorney’s office.

Mosley, along with three other men armed with pistols and shotguns, approached the two victims who were moving furniture into their Lakewood Villas home, according to the report.

The burglars, concealing their faces with masks and wearing cotton gloves, forced the two victims into the home. There, they found four other people, including two children and their babysitter, according to the police report.

The burglars then bound the four older victims with duct tape and forced them to lie on the floor. The men held guns to the victims’ heads as they shouted their demands for money.

The burglars are accused of stealing more than $300 in cash, a cell phone and a PlayStation 3, according to the police report.
