I’m a human, both in the literal sense Mr. Quinn defines in his column and in the Humans vs. Zombies game I participated in last week. The game provides harmless, alcohol- and drug-free entertainment to about 1,000 UF students.
Somehow, Mr. Quinn found this to be objectionable. In an issue of the Alligator where I can flip a single page back and find an article on Student Government shutting down due to a “demeaning” debate that included “cursing” and “sexual references” and where the front page discusses the ongoing investigation in a rape at an on-campus frat house, I have to challenge whether or not the players of Humans vs. Zombies are taking the game too seriously or whether Mr. Quinn is.
