The happiest place on Earth just got a little sour for our sun-kissed sweetheart in the governor’s mansion.

Gov. Charlie Crist accused the Republican Party of Florida of producing a “sham” report Saturday that suggested he spent thousands of party-donor dollars at Disney World during a personal vacation.

Crist denies the report, but imagine how adorable he would look with a felt Mickey Mouse hat with a nice, cursive, Florida-funded “Charlie” stitched on the front.

And a chocolate-coated Mickey Mouse tastes even sweeter when you aren’t the one paying for the ice cream running down your chin.

To bolster his claims, Crist released a counter report stating his wife paid nearly $5,000 for the very same summer 2009 vacation to Goofy’s backyard.

But an independent consulting firm released its report, saying ousted Florida Republican Party Chairman Jim Greer, a close pal of Crist, charged more than $13,000 to the party account for a four-day vacation with the Crist family.

Most importantly, we don’t understand how Greer or Crist could spend this much money, Florida-funded or not, at Disney World.

Didn’t either one of them have a Florida two-day pass?

Interestingly, the report Crist released leaves out some minor expense details, such as park tickets. Perhaps that can explain why Greer’s bill was a little higher than the one Crist released.

Who needs a two-day pass when voters are paying your bill?

Bad news, Charlie. We hear Mickey Mouse votes Democrat.
