Interesting uproars have spawned from “The Social Network," which hits theaters this Friday.

The movie seems to have added fuel to the growing tensions between Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg and his classmates over ownership claims and triggered yet another controversy in the Silicon Valley.

Facebook has objected that the movie cast dark aspersions on Zuckerberg’s real personality while Mr.Zuckerberg himself is alleged to have repeatedly stated that he has no intentions of watching the movie. However, two Twitter users claimed to have seen him at a screening of the movie in Seattle.

The movie has received positive reviews and Rotten Tomatoes’ statistics reveal that a large number of people can’t wait to see it.

The catchphrase is ringing in everyone’s ears now “You don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies."

A special screening of the film will be presented by the Reitz Union Board Entertainment on Tuesday, Sept. 28. The event is free and open to all students.

Do you plan on seeing "The Social Network"?
