Black Gold opened for Young Veins and Rooney at Common Grounds on Thursday. They released their debut album, "Rush," in February 2009. Their song "Detroit" was chosen as an iTunes single and the song "Shine" is featured on this season of "So You Think You Can Dance."
Lead singer Eric Ronick and drummer Than Luu collaborate on songwriting for the band. Black Gold has been on tour with Young Veins and Rooney since mid-June.
