Florida Fight Nights is bringing mixed martial arts to Gainesville on Saturday at 8 Seconds (:08).
The eventwill feature 20 top amateur fighters from six gyms across Florida and Georgia, who will fight 10 matches and showcase Muay Thai and kickboxing.
Muay Thai is an aggressive fighting style in which fighters can lock limbs and elbow and knee each other. The fighters will weigh in at 1 p.m., but doors will open to the public at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $15, or $45 for VIP passes, which offer free drinks and a balcony view of. Customers will receive 20 percent off admission if they pre-purchase the tickets on the Web site, http://www.floridafightnights.com. Tickets will also be sold at the door of 8 Seconds (:08).
