I am tired of hearing about Tiger Woods in the media. Last week’s coverage of The Masters talked more about Woods than every other golfer combined.

I realize that Woods is one of the most famous golfers in the world, and a lot of people watched The Masters because of him, but why do the media mostly cover him, when other golfers perform better?

The Masters was Woods’ first competition since his leave of absence. More people tuned into The Masters this year, and ratings for The Masters were 36 percent higher than last year. I understand that people were curious to know how Woods would play after a long break, but it should not dominate news coverage.

No  matter which station I turned on, the story was always about Woods. After all, Tiger finished fourth, and no other athlete got close to the same amount of attention.
