Bryan Callen had a tip for those in the audience at the Orange & Brew Wednesday night looking to get lucky.
“What will get you laid the fastest besides a cape?” he asked the crowd of about 100. “A cape with a falcon on your forearm.”
Callen, a comedian and TV personality, cracked jokes about everything from groin-stretching to the basics of wizardry.
The stand-up comedy show was hosted by the Reitz Union Board Entertainment, a student-run organization that puts on a wide range of free events for UF students.
“At the Orange & Brew, there are no rules.” Callen said. “What a combo, citrus and beer.”
Hyped with nonstop movement and never-ending energy, Callen went from reciting lines from “The Princess Bride” to neighing like a horse and running like an ostrich around the spot-lit stage.
Callen is the host of E!’s “Bank of Hollywood,” and he has a recurring role on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” His notable roles include Eddie in “The Hangover” and Howie in “Sex and the City.”
Callen also made TV appearances in “Entourage,” “7th Heaven” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
“I’m a big fan of ‘The Hangover,’” said Adam Jacobson, an economics senior. “I’ve seen it like 10 times, and it’s hilarious.”
Callen’s character in “The Hangover,” a Lebanese man named Eddie, was based on a real guy, he said.
A sequel to “The Hangover” is in development, Callen said.
Callen was paid $3,000 to by RUB Entertainment.
