GPD investigates robbery in apartment parking lot

Gainesville detectives are investigating a robbery that occured in the Rockwood Villas’ parking lot early Monday morning.

Gainesville Police Department Cpl. Tscharna Senn said the victim was attacked in Rockwood Villas’ parking lot at about 3 a.m. by two suspects, who police believe the victim was familiar with.

Senn said the robbery happened after an argument about money.

No weapons were involved in the robbery, and the victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, she said.

Detectives are investigating several leads, and Senn said she’s confident the suspects will be found.
