FloridaWorks is holding a recruitment event today and Saturday to help job seekers in Alachua and Bradford counties find employment.
Applicants must have at least one child younger than 18 and fall within a specific income range that depends on family size to participate. FloridaWorks will match job seekers with potential employers.
Janeen Smith, FloridaWorks communications manager, said more than 600 jobs are available in Alachua and Bradford counties due to the Florida Back to Work program, which will pay for 95 percent of workers’ wages until Sept. 30.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. this weekend and next at the One-Stop Career Center, located at 4800 SW 13th St. Job seekers must fill out applications prior to the event.
