The “Fear Factor” editorial in Monday’s Alligator labeled the anti-abortion Genocide Awareness Project in the headline as “anti-choice ... ineffective, distasteful”.
Although the large photographs are unpleasant to view, the project is very effective at portraying the distasteful choice of abortion. Yes, abortion is legal in America today, just as slavery was legal in the United States and the Holocaust was legal in Hitler’s Germany. The “bloody photographs of abortions gone wrong” (quite a redundant phrase) are accurate images of the victims of typical abortions, and they frequently change viewers’ minds. While other bloody medical procedures are performed to heal and extend lives, every abortion is performed to harm and end the life of an unborn baby.
