Gainesville Police Department officers arrested a local man for two separate cases of armed robbery Wednesday.
According to the police report, Reggie Gill, 19, attempted to rob an acquaintance in the parking lot of the Enclave Apartments, 3000 SW 35th Place, on Jan. 20, threatening to shoot the man.
The victim addressed Gill by name and pleaded to be left alone, but Gill shot into the air, according to the report.
The men fought over the gun until the victim was able to escape.
Gill shot the victim in the calf as he ran away, according to the report.
The victim picked out Gill in a photo lineup.
Gill’s fingerprints were also connected to a residential robbery on Jan. 12 at 120 NE 40th Place, according to the report.
Gill broke into the house through an unlocked bedroom window and is accused of stealing a $2,200 television and a book of bank checks.
Gill is charged with one count of burglary, one count of grand theft, one count of attempted murder, one count of robbery with a firearm and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the report.
