A Miami man apparently wanted his Taco Bell "fourthmeal" so badly that he thought it was worth a few bullets.
After employees repeatedly told him he couldn't place an order because the restaurant was closed, the man waited in the parking lot and fired a gun at the manager, according to an Associated Press article.
Six rounds later, he struck one employee in the leg.
Unfortunately, investigators have not found the suspect, according to the article.
So, what item on a Taco Bell menu is worth opening fire? The fire sauce? A Crunchwrap Supreme? Perhaps a MexiMelt?
We know how disappointing it is to show up at the University Avenue Taco Bell, only to find that they're out of beans, rice, chicken and every other menu item. We also know what it's like to then drive to the chain restaurant's Archer Road location, only to hear that employees "just turned off the machines that make the food." (Ahem, we thought hands made our food.)
But this is Gainesville, a city that shuts down at 2 a.m. Miami, however, never sleeps.
Couldn't the Taco Bell Terror have ventured to, say, an authentic Mexican restaurante?
This man is an example of why people need to take a deep breath and not flip out when things go awry. It's a taco. Get over it.
Everyone can be guilty of overreacting, but waiting until employees leave so you can shoot them is not the right answer to "Sorry, we're closed."
Just imagine what would have happened if they messed up his order.
