The owner of Shooting Star Japanese Grill and Sushi was arrested Monday on charges of domestic battery.
According to a Gainesville Police report, Doo Yong Cho and his wife, Hye Chong, got into an argument at their apartment at about 3:15 p.m.
According to the report, Cho became increasingly angry and grabbed Chong by the throat, threatening her.
Cho continued to hit his wife on the side of the head, and threatened to beat her up, according to the report.
When GPD arrived, the left side of Chong's head was swollen.
Cho was arrested at 5:01 p.m. and charged with a misdemeanor, according to the report. He was released without bond.
