"Where do you torpedo?"

Answering that question just might win UF engineering junior Blake Matson $10,000, a year of free Quiznos torpedo subs and a chance for his video to be televised nationally.

Matson is one of 10 finalists in the Quiznos "Where Do You Torpedo?" video contest, which was designed to raise publicity for Quiznos/ new $4 Toasty Torpedo sub.

His video, "The sandwich you can/t let go," features Matson as pink-shirted, pink sunglass-clad "Bryce."

In the video, Bryce drives a convertible with sub in hand while telling the passenger he torpedoes "in his sports car doing 120, with the windows down and the top rolled back," just before the Quiznos Toasty Torpedo sub shoots off into space, rocket-style before landing in his hand.

In order to win, Matson/s video must receive the most online votes before the July 31 deadline.

Voters are automatically entered into a contest to win free torpedo subs for a year, according to the contest Web site.

He said he entered the contest to make a video, and the competition was an added incentive.

"We wanted to make a video and maybe get recognition for it," he said.

He said he wanted to begin his video "kind of lame" and finish with something big to throw judges off.

Matson, who shot the video with Florida State University student Johnathan Greenaway, said if he wins he will take his friends on a vacation and possibly buy a hybrid car.

But Matson, who is the only one visible in the video, doesn/t plan to hog all the winnings.
